This policy explains what personal data Oak Growth collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

This website and the Oak Growth screener are operated by Oak Growth Global Limited (“Oak Growth”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17211405. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can contact us about privacy at info@oakgrowth.uk.

2. The data we collect

Account data — your name and email address, and the encrypted credentials used to log in. Accounts are created and managed through our authentication provider, Memberstack.
Payment data — billing details and card information needed to take payment. This is collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
Usage and technical data — basic information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site, collected automatically including through cookies.

3. How we use your data and our legal basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following legal bases:

To provide the service — creating your account and giving you access to the screener (performance of our contract with you).
To take payment and manage your subscription — including the free trial, billing, renewals and cancellations (performance of our contract).
To communicate with you — sending service, account and billing messages such as trial reminders and receipts (performance of our contract and our legitimate interests).
To secure and improve the service — preventing abuse and understanding how the product is used (our legitimate interests).
To meet legal obligations — for example keeping records required by law (legal obligation).

4. Service providers who process data for us

We use trusted third parties to run Oak Growth. They process your data on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes we set:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing. Card and payment data is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Memberstack — account creation, login, authentication and subscription management. See Memberstack’s Privacy Policy.
Netlify — website and application hosting and content delivery. See Netlify’s Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Stripe and Memberstack, are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the providers’ own compliance frameworks, as described in their privacy policies linked above.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Payment and transaction records are kept for as long as required by law (for example for tax and accounting purposes). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email info@oakgrowth.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, including those set by Memberstack to keep you logged in and by Stripe to process payments securely. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data and rely on the security of established providers — payment data is handled by Stripe’s PCI-compliant systems and account data by Memberstack. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Children

Oak Growth is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed, and significant changes will be notified where appropriate.
